What Seika Innovation's AI training looks like

Seika Innovation's AI training is a hands-on programme, designed by role (management, operations, administration) on Copilot 365, Power Automate, Power BI and generative AI. Workshops work on the company's real processes: participants leave the room with automations and reports already working, not with slides.

The approach is the opposite of a catalogue course: first we analyse roles and processes, then we design the programme around the use cases those people meet every day. It is the fastest way to turn tools into real productivity, and to stop licences going unused.

Training also answers a regulatory requirement: Article 4 of the EU AI Act, applicable since 2 February 2025 and reworded by the Digital Omnibus (Regulation (EU) 2026/1744), asks providers and deployers of AI systems to take proportionate measures to support the AI literacy of their staff, calibrated to people's roles and the context of use. Seika Innovation has delivered over 30 AI training programmes in companies from €1 million to over €5 billion in revenue.

How an AI training programme works: the 4 phases

The programme follows four phases, from role analysis to measuring adoption.

01

Role analysis

Which roles, which processes, which tools already in use. Effective training starts from what people really do, not from a standard syllabus.

02

Design

A programme per role with concrete goals: the automations to build, the reports to produce, the AI use cases to put into practice. Management, operations and administration have different needs.

03

Hands-on workshops

Hands-on sessions on the company's real processes: Copilot 365 on real documents, Power Automate on real flows, Power BI on real data. What is built in the room is used the next day.

04

Follow-up and measurement

Adoption check a few weeks later: what has entered daily use, where reinforcement is needed, which new use cases have emerged. Training is measured on use, not on attendance.

What you get from the training programme

  • AI training plan by role: management, operations, administration
  • Hands-on workshops on Copilot 365, Power Automate, Power BI and generative AI
  • Automations and reports built in the room on the company's real processes
  • Internal usage guidelines for a responsible adoption of AI tools
  • Follow-up with an adoption check and guidance on next steps

Copilot course for companies: what it includes

The Microsoft 365 Copilot programme is the most requested, because it is the tool companies already have with their licences and the one that stays unused the longest. It is not a feature presentation: we work on the company's documents, emails and files.

  • Copilot in Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams applied to the documents that role really produces
  • How to write a request that gets a usable result, and how to spot an answer not to trust
  • What not to feed an AI assistant: personal data, confidential commercial information, documents under NDA
  • Automations with Power Automate on the department's recurring flows
  • Follow-up a few weeks later to see what has really entered daily use

How much Copilot costs for companies: licence and cost of adoption

The licence is the visible part and the easiest to budget: it is paid per user, per month, with an annual commitment, and the list price is published by Microsoft. It is the rest that decides whether the investment pays off.

The real cost has three components: the licences, the hours of training and coaching needed for people to actually use them, and the data-governance work (who can see what) that has to be sorted out before switching the assistant on, otherwise Copilot becomes the fastest way to expose wrong permissions on folders nobody has checked for years. In the programmes Seika Innovation has run, the item that is systematically underestimated is the second one: without guided adoption, licences stay active and unused.

FAQ

AI training: frequently asked questions

01

How is an AI training course for companies structured?

Analysis of roles and processes, programme design, hands-on workshops on the company's real cases and a follow-up check. Duration depends on the roles involved: from single days on one tool to multi-session programmes for several departments.

02

Is AI training in companies mandatory?

Article 4 of the EU AI Act, applicable since 2 February 2025, asks providers and deployers of AI systems to take proportionate measures to support the AI literacy of their staff, in line with the context of use. After the Digital Omnibus rewording, the rule clarifies that no predetermined level of competence is required: what is needed are concrete, documentable measures, and hands-on training is the most direct way to demonstrate them.

03

Which tools do you train on?

Microsoft 365 Copilot, Power Automate, Power BI and generative AI (assistants and prompting on business use cases). The syllabus adapts to the tools the company has or is adopting: training is there to use them on real processes, not to present them.

04

Is the training on site or remote?

Both. Hands-on workshops work best on site (we operate in more than 20 provinces of Northern Italy, with headquarters in Conegliano, Treviso) and follow-up and reinforcement sessions work well remotely.

05

Is a technical background required to take part?

No. The programmes are designed for people who work in the processes, not for IT specialists: we start from the tools already in use (Office, ERP, email) and build automations and reports step by step. Content for technical roles is differentiated.

06

Can AI training be funded?

Often yes, but with the right instrument: training costs do not fall under Italy's hyper-depreciation for 4.0 capital goods. Training programmes are covered by inter-professional funds (Fondimpresa, Fondirigenti and similar) and regional grants. Seika Innovation helps identify the opportunities and prepare the documentation.

The licences are there. Are people using them?

A hands-on training programme turns AI tools into daily productivity, and answers the AI literacy requirement of the EU AI Act.
